You might recall the notable Make Your Bed commencement address at the University of Texas by Admiral William H. McRaven, later expanded into a book by the same name. It was written in response to the enthusiasm surrounding the idea that making your bed every morning is the cornerstone of success — that is, to start your day with a task completed.
At The Linen Closet, we know that if we want to change a life, we give people linens so they have a bed to make.
This spring, four transitional shelters welcomed us through their doors — each providing beds, but also compassion, generosity, and guidance. Your donations of new bed linens amplify the caring experience individuals receive when they enter a shelter.
