Matthew25 — Nashville, Tennessee

Road to Recovery.

Executive Director Jim and Director of Operations Rev. Jedediah Hanes provided a warm welcome as we delivered new sheets to Matthew25 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Matthew25 provides housing, help, and hope to veterans and men through their transitional housing program. Founded in 1986 with the support of Christ Church Cathedral and First Presbyterian Church, it's a shelter for 49 men working to transition to self-sufficiency.

"…I was a stranger, and you took me in."

That verse is more than a motto — it's the ethos that drives everything they do. We visited a stunning mural in their cafeteria painted by a volunteer that captures it beautifully. It's the kind of place where the walls themselves tell the story of the mission.

Many of the men at Matthew25 are veterans who have served their country and found themselves without a stable home on the other side. New linens are a small gesture — but for someone who has spent months without a private, comfortable space to sleep, they matter.
