We met with Sharron Green, Supportive Services Manager, and learned about the remarkable services the Homeless Coalition of St. John's County provides to families in St. Augustine.
Sharron shared the realities of what families face in Florida — and the scale of the need. The Coalition currently operates 21 homes for families, with plans to build 16 more on 5 acres in the future. Their community food pantry reaches far beyond their residents, serving many people throughout the wider St. Augustine area.
We are grateful for the generous and beautiful work they do for families in this community.
The Linen Closet has visited the Homeless Coalition of St. John's County more than once — and each visit deepens our admiration for the people running this program. New linens are a small part of what makes their homes feel like homes.
