Saving Grace Maternity Home — Hillsboro, Oregon
Director Cindy Sorum provides a safe haven for single homeless women in a crisis pregnancy between the ages of 13 and 25. Since opening in 2016, 41 young women have lived in the home.
When we visited, Saving Grace had four moms and one baby — with two moms expecting in December and one expecting twins in April. The Linen Closet was able to refresh all the sheets in this beautiful home, which accommodates up to four women full time.
Even during Covid-19, Cindy and her husband are attending to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the single mothers and their babies. Many thanks to Cindy for the beautiful work she does helping young mothers find their way in challenging circumstances.
