At the Homeless Coalition of St. John's County, The Linen Closet provides the sheets — and a local quilting group in Saint Augustine provides charming, handmade blankets. Together, they create something warm, personal, and beautiful for families in need.
This transitional shelter provides individual homes to seventeen families. Their mission is to truly make a difference in the lives of homeless families with minor children — providing housing and services that help them stabilize their lives, save toward affordable permanent housing, and break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.
We enjoy working with Sharron Green, Supportive Services Manager, to ensure they have linens to welcome all the families that come through their program.
There's something especially meaningful about this partnership. New sheets say: someone cared enough to give you something fresh. A handmade quilt says: someone made this specifically with love. Together, they say: welcome home.
