Community House on Broadway — Longview, Washington
Community House on Broadway has an exciting new program to better serve the homeless. They started a medical outreach program to people living in tents — providing real-time medical care and resources for primary care.
Julie Rinard at Community House says everyone loves the gifts with the "You Are Loved" cards attached. She said she sees their smiles, and sometimes their tears, when handing out linens to new families.
A couple expecting their first child received the baby boy blanket pictured above. The mother-to-be was touched to have a beautiful gift for her little one — and her husband was relieved to see his wife have a small moment of comfort in the middle of an extraordinarily hard season.
"Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me." — Matthew 25:40
Your donations placed in a preschool classroom at a shelter are quickly whisked away to make up beds for newly arriving families. Sheets and comforters are a tremendous way to demonstrate love and hope to people in very hard circumstances. Your gifts improve the wellbeing of the sick, elderly, and marginalized.
