Through your generosity, The Linen Closet delivered comfort, hope, and dignity to residents at Central Park Place on the Veteran's campus in Vancouver, WA — providing bedding for 26 newly renovated rooms. We will provide new bedding for the next blocks of renovated rooms in January and April as well.
Central Park Place has VA case managers and VA nurses serving this population. We have heard stories of residents who are so delighted with their new bedding that they asked their case managers to come see their "new bed."
Some residents are on hospice. Many are missing limbs. The blankets provided for their laps and wheelchairs are, as they say, "just right." The elderly here often prefer flannel sheets. Thanks to your generosity, we can provide a wide variety of bedding that residents choose from themselves.
