Robert, pictured on the right, has been the office manager at the Astoria Rescue Mission for 15 years.
We love this photo because it shows exactly who Robert is: when we arrived, he wanted to make sure that Mr. S — who also helped us unload linens — was included in the picture. That small instinct to share the credit, to acknowledge the person beside you, says everything about the culture of this place.
Thanks to our donors, brand new sheets were delivered for their two facilities, offering 16 beds.
